Riverside Records was launched in 1997 by Arne Kullgren, Owe
Midner and Björn O. Benthlin. At that time Owe Midner
already had a record company -TMC (The Music Company) - which
he brought into the newstarted label.
Midner has worked in the music business for many years,
he started as a record producer in 1966 at Cupol, 1970 they
were bought by CBS, 1975 Midner joined Polygram until 1982
when he started Mill Records and later Rival International
together with Hans Larsson who earlier worked at RCA/Electra
Sweden.
They sold Mill & Rival to BMG Sweden in 1990 and continued
as A & R Managers; Midner until 1996 and Larsson until
1998.
The TMC label with 28 cd-singles and 12 albums and the Riverside
label with 8cd-singles and 12 albums are still growing as
well as Solna Records, a label which Riverside owns to fifty
percent; 10 cd-singels & 12 albums.
Riverside is also engaged in music publishing through Cob
Music, KAMI Musik, TM Musik & Riverside Music.
The music profile goes from new recorded artists to re-releases
in cooperation with BMG, EMI, Sony, Warner & Universal.
