Pop From The Åland Islands 1965-1971
Åland,
in case you didn’t know, is an autonomous island community in the Baltic
Sea halfway between Finland and Sweden.
This unique 2-cd
compilation brings together, for the first time, every pop single by Åland
artists released by Swedish and Finnish record labels between 1965 and 1971.
Many of these vinyl 45s only sold a couple of hundred copies at the time and
some are now collectors’ items.
All the B-sides are included, and that’s not all: you also get a full
disc of demos, radio sessions and other previously unreleased recordings.
The 28 page booklet is stuffed with rare photos, posters, memorabilia and
detailed liner notes about the recordings and the Åland pop scene in

Mynta
in India again!
On Jan 20, 2007 Mynta will start a 3 weeks tour in India. The tour will be
in 6 cities and it
includes a spectacular show on board at the Swedish old ship "Götheborg"
in Chennai on Feb 1
and Kala Ghoda Festival in Mumbai on Feb 4.

are making quite a stir around Brighton & London with their infectiously
energetic set, best described as funky/quirky rock. Especially for the Cella,
they'll be playing a slightly quieter, acoustic set. Cheesy quote: "they're
not Jester'nother Rock band!!"; plus swedish WHISTLER
(yes, they are coming from Sweden) who describe their influences as ‘very
diverse’ – ‘from Pink Floyd to Abba’ - so we are looking
forward to hearing for ourselves!

Swedish WHISTLER to be heading England
in september to play at NPF Live Tribute Show 2006!!

at The Komedia in Brighton, England on September 23rd to bring
you a 10 hour Pink Floyd tribute marathon!
