Åland, in case you didn’t know, is an autonomous island community in the Baltic Sea halfway between Finland and Sweden.

This unique 2-cd compilation brings together, for the first time, every pop single by Åland artists released by Swedish and Finnish record labels between 1965 and 1971. Many of these vinyl 45s only sold a couple of hundred copies at the time and some are now collectors’ items.
All the B-sides are included, and that’s not all: you also get a full disc of demos, radio sessions and other previously unreleased recordings.
The 28 page booklet is stuffed with rare photos, posters, memorabilia and detailed liner notes about the recordings and the Åland pop scene in the 60s.
